ABOUT THE ARTIST
TADEJ VESENJAK (1978) is the loudest native of Prlekija among singer-songwriters and the most authentic singer-songwriter among Prlekija natives. His lyrics are personal, cynical, humorous, angry, romantic, mournful … just like life itself. They are critical, expressive, and honest. His music is a fusion of folk and blues with a strong rock touch and occasional reggae bursts.
He is a six-time winner of KantFest and has performed twice at the La vie en rose chanson festival. Currently one of the most prominent singer-songwriters in Slovenia, he was featured back in 2007 on Jure Longyka’s famous radio show Izštekano. To date, he has released two albums with Založba Pivec: “Samo mrtve ribe plavajo s tokom” (“Only Dead Fish Swim with the Current”) and “Naša dejanja odmevajo v večnost” (“Our Deeds Echo into Eternity”).
