FRESCOES
At the castle, we admire frescoes more than 300 years old – we learn how they were created, who painted them, what they tell us and how they are preserved today.
During the workshop, we:
- learn about the painting technique,
- explore motifs and their meanings,
- build on the introductory section with a creative workshop,
- each participant creates their own mini fresco.
FLURER MY WAY
We listen to the story of the fresco painter and his patron, meet the greatest Greek hero Hercules in the company of the Greek gods, and discover that “all that glitters is not gold”. During the workshop, we become real gilders and decorate a wooden frame with gold leaf.
During the workshop, we:
- learn about the count and his artist,
- explore motifs and their meanings,
- step into the role of gilders,
- recreate a fresco using stylised motifs from the castle frescoes,
- each participant decorates a wooden frame with gold leaf and creates their own drawing using selected motifs.
FOSSILS
A slightly different lesson about the geological treasures of Pohorje.
During the workshop, we:
- gain basic knowledge about minerals, fossils and rocks,
- learn how fossils form and why they are important,
- finish the creative part by making our own fossil.
Educational workshop fee
Educational workshop fee:
€6.00 per child
The fee applies to groups of at least 10 participants.
