The Institute for Culture Slovenska Bistrica invites visual artists who wish to participate in a group exhibition at the Graslov Tower exhibition space between 8 October and 30 November 2026. The call is open to amateur artists who create independently or within associations in the area of the Municipality of Slovenska Bistrica.
The theme of the exhibition is inspired by the verse by Kajetan Kovič “How water flows, forever new”, which opens up space for reflection on the continuous flow of life, time and creativity. Water, as a symbol of movement, transformation and permanence, at the same time represents the constant changing of the world and the human being’s place within it. Although it may seem that the same water is always flowing, in reality every moment of it is new – just like every creative process and every artistic interpretation.
Artists are invited to reflect on transition, change and repetition, on the relationship between the transient and the permanent, the external and the internal world. The theme offers a starting point for diverse contemporary visual interpretations, in which personal experiences, memories and natural processes are transformed into individual artistic expression.
